PEEING DURING EXERCISE is a COMMON experience, AND THERE IS SO MUCH WE AS COACHES CAN DO TO HELP improve function and performance.

As A Coach you’ve probably seen:

  • A line forming in front of the bathroom before a jump rope workout
  • Female athletes peeing on the platform at lifting meets
  • Athletes saying they “Need to pee right now”
  • Clients wearing dark leggings to hide the leaking during certain workouts
  • Female athletes peeing during the sticking point of a heavy lift

We aren’t here to shame the symptom, but instead bring attention to what we as coaches can do to troubleshoot from the outside in.

In case we haven't met, let me introduce myself...

Hi, I'm Brianna Battles!

I’m a career strength and conditioning coach, former D1 collegiate athlete, and the CEO + Founder of Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism. I have 2 crazy boys, am a jiu jitsu purple belt and live a very active lifestyle.

I started P&PA in 2014 out of frustration with the lack of resources for coaches and athletes—resources that were outdated, incomplete, or nonexistent. Since then, I’ve coached professional athletes, certified 5,000+ coaches worldwide, and supported pregnant and postpartum athletes with strategic training programs.

I’m passionate about helping women pursue a lifetime of athleticism, and I know that pregnancy and postpartum serve as catalyst seasons for personal growth.

After coaching thousands of athletes

Both professional and fitness enthusiasts, a common theme I would hear is “Why didn’t I know?” or “Why didn’t anyone tell me!?”

Many athletes are given conservative advice...
◼️ "Breathe exactly like THIS"
◼️ "Don’t get your heart rate too high"
◼️ "That’s just a normal part of motherhood.”

Or advice that's really shortsighted…
❌ "Keep doing what you’ve always done"
❌ Dismisses core and pelvic floor symptoms
❌ "Get your body back ASAP postpartum"

So much information out there for pregnancy and postpartum fitness is outdated, not applicable to how women train today, or not rooted in any scientific evidence.

This is why I created Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism.

Our goal is to support women through their lifetime of athleticism. I hope this free resource helps you in your own coaching.
